This is 10-Day horse trekking travel package for travelers who have some experience of horse riding before. You will take guided tour of horse riding for 7 days including 1 day hiking up to mountain on glacier. During the entire trip, you will experience life of Kazakh nomads and eagle hunter, horse riding, homestay in a Kazakh felt Ger (Yurt), and driving in 4WD Russian Van, experience packing and carrying things on camels’ back. You will also see glacier, ancient rock painting petroglyph, livestock, different shaped mountains, and lakes, Meet Kazakh, Tuva and Mongolians. Exploring Kazakhs’ tradition, lifestyle, art (playing music and singing), Kazakh costumes and dish, people and children are never far away. We include some social activities to help vulnerable families, schools, dormitories, kindergartens, disabled children’s center, which we call “Giving Back or Volunteer work” as a small donation from you.

Day 1 – Arrival in Ulaanbaatar

 

Welcome to Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia! Out tour guide and bus driver will pick you up at airport, drive to hotel, and check in. Breakfast/lunch/dinner is provided depending on the arrival time. Guide will introduce next day plan.

 

Day 2. Guided city tour in Ulaanbaatar by bus.

 

Our guide and bus driver will pick you up at the hotel in the morning and start visiting places listed in Day 2 tour outline. Depending on city traffic, all places may not be available to visit, but we will try to get all places done when you arrive back to city at the end.

  • Sukhbaatar Square, the center of UB
  • Gandantegchinlen Monastery
  • Visit National Museum of Mongolia
  • The State Department Store
  • Zaisan Hill to see UB city view
  • Winter Palace of BogdKhaan etc.

 

Day 3. Travel Bayan-Ulgii Province, the westernmost art of Mongolia. (3 hours by domestic airplane).

 

Our local guides and drivers will meet you at the airport in Ulgii. Check in Ger camp/Hotel located near Ulgii town. Meet the team and welcoming, introduction, briefing the tour program. City tour in Ulgii town visit local museum, shops Dive to base camp where Kazakh nomads and eagle hunters live. Homestay Kazakh Gers. B/L/D

 

Day 3-6:  Horse trekking.

Each day we will trek about 15-25 km depending path difficulties through Tsengel village-Zagast Nuur-Shiveet Mountain-Glacier.  Safety Instructions of riding horses and general information of entire trek will be provided before adventure. Our 4WD Russian van will be joining for entire trip and additionally we will get camels to deliver our supplies for the distance where vehicle is not optional. It is fun very fun! Stay overnight in tents at different campsites. B/L/D

Day 7– Glacier and hiking

Today we will do hiking through Potatnin Glacier to Malchin Peack, which is one of five peak in Altai Tavan Bogd Mountain Range. Overnight stay in tent. (B/L/D)

Day 8 – Arriving in Olgii town

Riding and hiking is optional for you. We will take a half day to arrive back to our vehicle and drive back to town center. Homestay/house/hotel/Ger is optional. B/L/D

Day 9.Fly back to UB.  Check in hotel. Rest

You will go check in 2 hours before the flight. The flight schedule will be confirmed before your trip starts to Mongolia. Our guides in UB will meet you at the airport and take to Breakfast/lunch/dinner is provided depending on the arrival time. Guide will introduce next day plan.

Day 10. Leisure day in UB. Short trip to ChinggisKhaan Statue near UB. Stay in same hotel

Today we will organize for you short trip to ChinggisKhaan Statue near UB. The destination is 30 km one way.

Day 11. Departure.
