What are the common questions?
- Maral Expedition is committed to providing high quality, flexible and well-designed travel products and services to meet the needs of our clients. We work hard to ensure that your memories of Mongolia will be a treasure for a lifetime. We treat our guests as a family, respect the culture and value people. Maral Expedition hosted travelers from France, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, US, Australia, Slovenia, England, Russia, Norway, Canada, New Zealand, Italy, Thailand, China, Myanmar, Japan, Korea, South Africa, Kazakhstan, Singapore and Taiwan.
- Maral Expedition provided following services: Tour planning advice, tour organizing, home stay and hotel booking (3-5 star) visa support, provide guide and vehicle, border and National Park permit, custom and budget tours, domestic and international airline bookings, University and college study linking, charity and development project assistance, partnership
- Insurance: Travel insurance is compulsory for Maral Expedition travelers and should be taken out at the time of booking. We recommend that our tour participants purchase a standard travel insurance policy that covers you for unexpected events that could cause you to cancel or interrupt your vacation, unexpected delays, medical assistance, loss of or damage to baggage.
- Accommodation: If you are staying in Ulaanbaatar, you will be accommodated in a 3 to a 5-star hotel. There are other options to place in the hostel/guesthouse as well. During any trips around the country, you will be camping in tents and in a traditional Mongolian Ger. We offer accommodations that are personally checked by our staff to ensure the required standards.
- Transportation: Maral Expedition use the highest level, latest model, air-conditioned private vans or 4WD vehicles for the maximum comfort on your touring days. Standard a day's drive in the countryside will be approx. 200-250 km and it takes 3-6 hours.
- Food: In Ulaanbaatar, the restaurants are nice, you can find the most dishes you like. While travelling in countryside, mutton, beef, vegetables, rice and noodles form the basis of the Mongolian diet, so your meals will be based around this. mutton, beef, rice and noodles form the basis of the Mongolian diet, so your meals will be based around this. However, the trail rations may include vegetables, eggs, peanut butter, cheese and sometimes yak! On some days there will be lunchboxes from tourist camps as there are no camps or eating places on the journey. It is good food and our experience has been that guests are happy with.
- Food: Most of the Mongolian cuisine contains meat in it. However, we will be happy to perpare something special for our vegan clients. Information should be provided prior to the trip.
- When you arrive in Ulaanbaatar airport or train station, one of our representatives will pick up you with a board “Maral Expedition”.
- General Mongolian people are known for their nomadic hospitality and they will make you feel very welcome. In the countryside, foreigners feel much safer because nomadic people have more respect for travelers Cities are mostly safe; however, as in other large cities, you may face some street crimes particularly in Ulaanbaatar and especially late at night.
- Based on detailed information about visa from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, Maral Expedition will fully support you on your visa. For most f the countries who need visa, one-month visas can be obtained on the spot once you arrive at the airport or railway station. We will supply an official confirmation letter (by email or post) for your visa application once you book a trip with us.
- There is no quarantine upon your arrival if you have vaccination certificate. You may just show your vaccine certificate that’s all!
- If you tell us what is your idea what to do and where to go in Mongolia, we design your trip program and discuss other details including flights, accommodation, transports, food, cost for trip etc.) Once everything is confirmed, we may ask you to fill simple form about you and submit us with a deposit of US $200 per person. On receipt of your deposit, we will send you confirmation of your booking along with details for the payment of the balance. Payment can be made by bank transfer, international money transfer services or VISA and MasterCard.
